Hachimo

About Hachimo

Hachimo is a web app for reading cat and dog body language. You upload a photo or a short video, and it reads quatre indices — oreilles, yeux, queue et posture, then returns a mood score from 0 to 100, a breakdown of the emotions it saw, and the specific cues that led there. It runs in a browser — there is no app to install.

What it does not do

  • 🔇 It does not translate barks or meows. Vocalisations tell you what a pet wants from you; posture is where the state shows.
  • 🩺 It is not veterinary advice and cannot diagnose anything. Each reading lists the cues so you can check them yourself, and flags the postures that warrant a vet.
  • 🤖 It does not pretend to certainty. When a photo is too dark or too cropped to read, it says so instead of inventing a mood.

The four cues

Ears, eyes, tail and posture, always read together. A wagging tail on its own means very little; the same tail with a closed mouth and the weight shifted back is a different animal entirely. Reading all four, and comparing them to how your pet usually looks, is the whole method.

Fait avec 💛 et plein de papouilles. Hachimo, c'est pour le fun et la curiosité — pas un avis vétérinaire. Si ton compagnon semble patraque, file voir un vrai vétérinaire. 🩺
